Woodstock 10th Anniversary Postponed to 2021

After months of hard work, hope and prayer, we have unfortunately decided to postpone this year’s Woodstock Fruit Festival to August of 2021. All registrations, volunteer positions and activities on the schedule shall remain as they are— we are simply changing the dates of this year's event to August 22-29th, 2021.

For months, we felt it was our duty to make WFF happen this year against all odds because we knew the community needed it more than ever. After we saw the Massachusetts state government cancel summer camps two days prior to opening, however, we had a wake-up call: this could just as easily happen to us.

We shuddered at the thought of how this disruption would affect the lives of attendees and everyone involved, and also result in great financial loss for the festival.

Due to non-refundable expenses associated with this year’s event, such as our commitment to the farmers who grow produce for the event, registration software costs and a year of customer service and planning from the admin team, we have incurred financial losses that we plan to compensate for by slightly raising the price of admission next year for new registrants.

We encourage everyone who would like to be a part of next year’s event to either stay registered or register ASAP to secure the lowest prices. Not only will this help the festival stay financially secure in the face of recent loss, but it will boost morale in the community and inspire us to look forward to 2021 together. We very much appreciate your continued support and belief in our event through these unique times!

ATTENDEES:
If you would prefer to cancel your ticket in lieu of rolling it over to 2021, we will be waiving all cancellation fees and administering full refunds for 31 days from now until August 14th. Please email us at registration@thewoodstockfruitfestival.com.

Even if you do not wish to cancel, please kindly email us at registration@thewoodstockfruitfestival.com and let us know that you are aware that the festival is postponed and will not be happening this year.

If we don’t hear from you, we will assume you do not know and will reach out to you via email, Facebook and phone to make sure that no one shows up at Camp Walden this year.

As we anticipate having a high volume of emails and messages, it may take us longer than usual to get back to you, but we will reply to everyone and very much appreciate your patience.

VOLUNTEERS:
In order to compensate for this year’s losses, the first-time volunteer fee will be increased next year from $50 to $75. If you are interested in volunteering in 2021, we encourage you to stay registered.

All volunteers who fully or partially paid their deposits this year and do not wish to stay registered for 2021 may cancel their positions and have their deposits refunded any time between now and July 21st, 2021. First-time volunteers who cancel by August 14th, 2020, will also have their $50 first-time volunteer fee refunded.

It breaks our heart to bring this news to you all. Not only will Woodstock 2021 be our tenth year in operation, but it will take on a whole new light after the traumatic events of this year. We cannot wait to be reunited with our community.

On that note, we leave you all with 2019’s recap video.

Cuddle up with a bowl of cherries and enjoy some of the most touching memories from last year. May you finish 2020 strong, hopeful and filled with light. Thank you all for your continued support.

Until next year,
The Woodstock Fruit Festival Team
